Customer satisfaction is the ultimate goal and pursuit of all ACT associates. ACT previously achieved ISO 9000 and 9002 certifications, TL9000 version 2.5, and BABT certification. The present pursuit is to achieve ISO 9000:2000, TL9000 version 3.0 and Six-Sigma Black Belt certification, all of which attest to the success of our current and future quality initiatives.

ACT's relentless pursuit to strengthen our quality control and to ensure a consistent process is produced:

  • We develop processes to identify potential defects early in the product life cycle.
  • We measure our process for consistency and quality and to drive the continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • We empower every ACT associate the ability to halt the process immediately when they see a variation.
  • We provide our customers with a magnitude of service that is consistent with meeting or exceeding their needs via an alliance with quality, program management and materials teamwork.

 

Our Quality Policy Embraces Our Quality Improvement Philosophy

At ACT we strive to provide product quality and customer service levels unrivaled in the contract manufacturing industry through root cause analysis, innovative problem solving techniques and results oriented continuous process improvement. We have established a Quality Council forum that involves quality engineering, process engineering, and test engineering to review data, assign actions and document process improvements. We also have a cost of quality program to track and reduce the costs of poor quality.

ACT's Continuous Improvement Program

Our Quality Council reviews our program on a defined basis and the evaluation is fact based management data driven. The data is reviewed to determine if there is a need for additional resources, new processes, personnel or equipment. The process is then tracked to monitor progress. The program manager and dedicated customer quality engineer collects and analyzes field related failure/complaints. It is in this manner that ACT's management utilizes quality data for continuous improvement. We also maintain a comprehensive internal audit system and schedule audits at defined intervals. Our corrective action program addresses external suppliers and subcontractors, customer claims and internal company issues.
