We assign dedicated commodity specialists to your project, providing personal attention, ongoing updates, and constant communication. We combine this human touch with EDI and other advanced purchasing technologies to control costs and maintain a reliable supplier pipeline that is critical for any product. That means we can meet your demand now, as well as your upside potential.

Dedicated Customer Buying Teams

We provide dedicated buying teams that do the planning and procurement for each customer because we know that the contrACT Electronics business is a customer business. These Customer Material Acquisition Teams (CMATs) provide a single focal point for our customers: a place to go for answers to all their questions. In order to provide the best service and have up to date information available a member of this team looks at the customer's MRP on a daily basis to ensure the right support for the build plan.

Our Supplier Management Process

We maintain an approved supplier list with a documented procedure for qualifying and certification.

ACT conducts quarterly reviews that monitor quality and on-time delivery based upon systems based transactions. We also maintain historical data regarding vendor-supplied and internal test results. In addition, ACT makes periodic spot checks to verify the validity of raw material test reports and certifications.

Materials management's primary duty at ACT is to help provide the customer with a competitive advantage by seamlessly aligning our strategic materials objectives with the wider objectives of the company. A key point is our development of a worldwide strategic sourcing strategy.

ACT's Collaborative Platform

We work with suppliers on a collaborative platform so that we can create value together for our customers.

This consists of communicating our expectations to suppliers, constantly measuring their supplier performance, and supplying them with immediate feedback. This enables us to optimize our supplier base.

Incoming Inspection That Works

ACT takes special care with incoming inspection and testing. We write instructions on all parts and components. All incoming material shipments are inspected to make certain they meet the requirements of applicable drawings and referenced specifications. And, we set incoming inspection at 100% for all product types. All incoming inspection acceptance or rejection is captured electronically on a per piece basis. We keep complete records on file for materials requiring incoming materials test reports or certification of chemical and/or physical analysis. In addition, we keep incoming material that has been inspected segregated from material awaiting inspection. Finally, we protect the incoming inspection area in a bonded room to prevent unauthorized removal of material.

ACT can also trace materials from incoming inspection through final test/inspection and to the customer.
